A Florida man is behind bars after he reportedly attempted to steal a generator that was powering a traffic light in the wake of Hurricane Milton. The incident happened Sunday in Sun City Center, where Tampa Electric Company workers caught Soyal Zapata-Dye unhooking the power-producing device, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Although Zapata-Dye left the scene, one of the workers managed to take a photo of him and his license plate, sheriff’s officials say. Deputies caught up with Zapata-Dye at his house a short time later and arrested him, per the HCSO. He’s been charged with third degree grand theft during a state of emergency, sheriff’s officials say. Source: Fox News
