A family visiting a wildlife park in Texas had an unnerving experience when a giraffe snatched their toddler from their vehicle. The incident occurred last Saturday at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, where the family was feeding a giraffe from their pickup truck, authorities say. Video shows the giraffe lean forward and grab the little girl by the shirt, lifting her a few feet out of the truck’s bed. Before the toddler even realizes what’s happening, however, the giraffe releases her into her mother’s arms, the video reveals. The girl wasn’t injured, police say. Although Fossil Rim officials have not yet commented on the incident, they have announced a new policy: pickup trucks are no longer allowed in the park.
