While Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger isn’t known for insulting audience members, he apparently couldn’t stop himself from taking a shot at one high-profile attendee at Monday’s show in Florida. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who was previously involved in a multi-year battle with the Disney Corporation over his LGBTQ policies, was taking the show in when Jagger unexpectedly called him out from the stage. “We have some great local celebrities that have come tonight,” Jagger said from the Camping World Stadium stage. “Ron DeSantis is up there in the suite. He’s having a date night with Mickey Mouse. I’m so glad they finally made up.” The incident didn’t mark the first time the legendary singer made an onstage crack about a Republican politician. Last month, while former President Donald Trump was holding a rally in the South Bronx, Jagger – who was performing across the Hudson River in New Jersey – brought up Trump’s hush money trial. He told the crowd, “I was a bit worried about the weather tonight. I thought we were going to get a Stormy Daniels but we’re all right."
