Thief Leaves Apologetic Flyers On Cars
One thief is giving San Francisco residents a chance to avoid become his victims.
Flyers are turning up on vehicles in the California city, asking their owners to donate money to the unidentified thief so he won't have to continue living a life of crime. "I don't want to steal anymore," the flyers read. "But I still have to bills to pay. Can you help me please?" The flyer goes on to list three apps through which recipients could make donations: PayPal, Cash App and Bitcoin, police say. It's unclear if anyone has contributed to the thief's alleged self-rehabilitation.
Thefts from vehicles are on the rise in San Francisco, which has seen a 16 percent increase this year, according to the San Francisco P.D.
If you found a flyer like this on your car, would you make a donation?
