Actors and disgustingly adorable couple, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis shocked fans and the world when they revealed both their own bathing habits and those of their children when they said in a recent interview that they only gave their kids baths as infants when they could “see the dirt on them.” But wait, there's more.
The conversation started when the two appeared on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s “Armchair Expert” podcast and they were responding to Shepard’s theory that people “should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day.”
Ashton Kutcher, who was born and raised in Iowa, explained that “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time.”
But it was Mila's comments that began to turn heads. “When I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day,” the 37-year-old confessed. “I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”
To which 43-year-old Kutcher added “If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”
Mila had a bit of an explanation though, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway,” Kunis explained, who spent the first seven years of her life growing up in western Ukraine.
The couple eventually noted that they both regularly wash their faces; Kutcher after a workout makes sure he rinses his face “to get all the salts out” and Kunis apparently twice daily.
