Michigan Woman Plead Guilty For Trying To Use ‘RentAHitman.Com’ For Murder

This month (November 2021) Wendy Lynn Wein plead guilty to charges of solicitation of murder and using a computer to commit a crime after the Michigan woman allegedly tried to hire a hitman to kill her ex-husband using a fake website called, 'RentAHitman.com'.

According to Michigan State Police, Wein filled out an application on the website stating that her ex-husband was the intended target. The unique website’s owner reached out to the police as soon as he received the inquiry. That's when an undercover state trooper arranged to meet with Wein in a parking lot where she agreed to him $5000 in exchange to kill her husband.

Over a year since the arrest was made, Wein is facing a minimum of 9 years in prison after pleading guilty.

Now the 'RentAHitman.com' website has a very interesting story. Despite being famously featured in Rolling Stone, the site still manages to attract customers. In the website's 16-year history, over 700 people have contacted the website, preventing many pre-meditated murder plots.

Below is the news story when it first broke over a year ago.
