Shark Feeding Frenzy At North Carolina Fishing Pier Left Onlookers Stunned

An intense feeding frenzy of sharks was caught on camera from the Surf City Ocean Pier in North Carolina.

Annually, there is a large migration of mullet fish. Mullet are relatively small baitfish that these sharks love to feast on, so when they turn up in schools of tens of thousands, the sharks have a much easier time getting their grub on.

The tiny baitfish often gather near a structure like a fishing pier if a threat is detected, attempting to use the structure as protection from its predators. But as you can see from the video below, that apparently doesn't always go according to plan.
