Two suspects caught on camera ambushing two men outside a Pompano Beach home in early October are on the loose, and Broward Sheriff's Deputies would like to find them.
Lennie Gayle and another man were shot. Gayle was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.
Police got the call around 2p.m. Oct. 4 of a shooting in the 1600 block of Northwest 10th Circle in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the victims to an area hospital where one of the victims was pronounced dead. BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
According to detectives, the surveillance video shows a red Honda Accord pull up and park near the residence moments before the shooting. Two masked individuals dressed in black exit the vehicle: each armed with a rifle-style firearm. One of the rifles is seen with a distinct blue magazine. The suspects walk toward the front of the residence, where the two adult victims were outside, and fire multiple rounds before running back to the vehicle and fleeing. The suspect vehicle has since been recovered by detectives.
