A special election on tap in Miami for District 4 voters to fill the City Commission seat of the late Manolo Reyes. Barry University's Sean Foreman says Jose Regalado and Ralph Rosado both have a lot of name recognition. Regalado's father was a former mayor, and he served as Reyes' chief of staff. Rosado has been trying to distance himself from links to embattled Commissioner Joe Carollo who's accused of fraud and abuse as the former head of the Bayfront Park Trust. The winner will get the swing vote on moving elections from odd to even years and lifetime term limits. The person will serve the remainder of Reyes' term ending in November 2027.
