Something new at the Jazz in the Gardens music festival this weekend. The Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust is activating a Housing Hub spokesman Zachary Rinkins says provides an interactive experience about buying homes to the nearly 60-thousand festival attendees. Spokesman Zachary Rinkins says since 1995, the Trust has invested more than 17-million-dollars to help more than 35-thousand Black families buy homes in Miami-Dade. Research from the National Association of Realtors shows there's a nearly 30-percentage-point gap in homeownership between Black and White Americans.
