Snowstorm Strands 61 People In Yorkshire, England Pub For Several Nights

The last thing that the guests at Tan Hill Inn and pub in Yorkshire, England, will need is a cold one today.

A strong snowstorm hit England on Friday (November 26, 2021) leaving 61 people stranded and in attendance for a concert by an Oasis tribute band called Noasis.

According to reports, the storm poured over 3 feet of snow in the Yorkshire Dales. As a result of the treacherous weather, fallen power cables created an even more dangerous situation outside. Fortunately, for the guests, the pub is also an Inn, so there were pillows and blankets at their disposal, allowing them to set up sleeping quarters throughout the establishment.

According to Nicola Townsend, the inn’s general manager, the guests have been respectful of each other and nobody has gotten overly “loud and drunk.” Some of the people who were stranded were also guests staying at the inn.

Nicola says that guests have been passing the time by singing karaoke and watching movies like “Grease”.

The guests were finally able to leave on Monday (November 29, 2021) evening.
