USF Upsets Boise State

The USF Bulls (1-0) defeated #25 Boise State (0-1) 34-7 on Thursday night at Raymond James Stadium. It was the Bulls first win over a ranked team since 2016.

After Boise State scored a touchdown in the first quarter, the Bulls got a touchdown and field goal in the second quarter to take a 10-7 lead into halftime. USF scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to take control of the game, before adding 10 points in the fourth quarter to make it a 34-7 win.

Bulls quarterback Byrum Brown went 16-for-24 with 210 yards passing in the winning effort. He also ran for 43 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. His favorite targets were Chas Nimrod, who caught three balls for 96 yards, and Keshaun Singleton, who caught five balls for 93 yards and a touchdown. Alvon Isaac led the Bulls in rushing with 52 yards.

The Bulls are next in action when they travel to Gainesville to play the #15th-ranked Florida Gators. Kickoff between the Bulls and Gators is scheduled for 4:15 PM on September 6th.
