Pro-Palestinian activists vandalized President Donald Trump's Turnberry golf course in Scotland on Saturday (March 8). They painted "Gaza Is Not For Sale" in large letters on the lawn and used red spray paint on the clubhouse walls. The protest was in response to Trump's proposal to relocate Gaza's population and redevelop the area.
Palestine Action, the group behind the vandalism, stated that they reject Trump's treatment of Gaza as if it were his property. They emphasized their stance by targeting his property in Scotland. Newsweek reported that the group also dug up parts of the greens and damaged a lamp post.
Police confirmed they received a report of damage early Saturday morning and are investigating the incident. A spokesperson for Trump Turnberry described the vandalism as a "childish, criminal act" and assured that it would not impact business operations.
The protest comes amid ongoing discussions about the future of Gaza following a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Trump's proposal to relocate Gaza's population to neighboring Arab nations and develop the area has been met with widespread criticism. Arab nations have rejected the proposal, and Palestinians have refused to leave their homes.
