The Florida Gators (8-5) defeated Tulane (9-5) 33-8 on Friday evening at Raymond James Stadium to win the 2024 Gasparilla Bowl.
DJ Lagway threw for 305 yards and a touchdown to lead the Gators - he shrugged off a couple of first half turnovers to help lead the Gators to the ultimately dominant win. The Gators also got a touchdown late from walk-on running back Anthony Rubio, son of US Senator Marco Rubio.
The Gators finished the season with four wins in a row and will look to build on that in the 2025 season.
