South Florida police agencies and organizations are joining forces with Global Empowerment Mission for a Hurricane Helene Relief Effort.
Things like new blankets, cots, work gloves, solar powered lights, baby items and non-perishable food and pet food will be collected until 10:00 tonight and again tomorrow 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. outside Aventura Mall's Apple Store, and from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Shops at Pembroke Gardens.
Miami Police Captain Freddie Cruz asks you to give whatever you can because, "We all know the holidays are upon us, so people are going to be spending a lot of money in the next couple of months, but these are people in need. These are people who are going to be affected not just this month. They're going to be affected for several months to come."
