Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw is reminding residents of the agency's "Connect Protect" app.

"Too often we learn after a crime of a security threat has occurred that it could have been prevented, if someone who saw something had said something."

In a video posted to PBSO's Facebook page this week, the sheriff explains how the app works.

"It allows you to immediately contact PBSO and help us investigate or respond to any imminent danger."

You just have to snap a photo, provide a description and submit your report.

The app also provides important bulletins, news and information from the agency.

The Sheriff's Office reminds you it's not a replacement for 911 in an emergency.

The app is available for iPhones and androids.
