A banner plane pilot is in serious but stable condition after his small plane crashes near North Perry Airport. Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue Chief Marcelino Rodriguez says the pilot was initially trapped in the cockpit. The pilot was reportedly practicing picking up a banner when he hit the ground, but the exact cause will be investigated by the N-T-S-B. The crash comes a week after a similar banner plane went down in Hollywood -- killing the pilot.
