A group of men from Miami-Dade County have been arrested for trying to steal a truck from Palm Beach International Airport, and officials say that is far from a rare crime.
Sheriff Ric Bradshaw tells CBS 12 News that there have been multiple reports of vehicles stolen from the airport's long term parking garage and it's not uncommon for the people behind these crimes to be from out of town.
"We form these task forces where we have jurisdiction that goes through the three counties (Palm Beach, Broward & Miami-Dade). That's the only way to do it because we know that the people, the bad guys especially the gang members, they don't care where they're at. They're going to go where the business is."
The suspects were picked up near a Ford F-350 pickup, and they had all of the tools needed to drive the truck out of the garage.
