An "execution-style" murder occurring in the same spot as another shooting one year ago.
West Palm Beach Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot while behind the wheel.
Police spokesman Mike Jachles says the 36-year old victim was driving in an apartment complex last night when someone started shooting at him. That continued after the driver crashed into a pole, when the suspect walked up and shot him repeated through the passenger side of the vehicle.
Jachles says this happened despite more patrols in the area after recent violence.
"The West Palm Beach Police Department maintains high visibility in many areas that may see an increase in crime."
He tells CBS 12 News that the shooting was not random and the victim and suspect knew each other.
That suspect is still at large.
