North Port, FL - Police in Southwest Florida have arrested a 23-year-old who rode his bicycle more than three hours in an attempt to have sex with a minor.
North Port Police arrested Dylan Joseph Thibodeau after Thibodeau began texting with an undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old in August.
Between August and December, Thibodeau made plans to engage in sex acts and impregnate the child before she turned 18.
Police say Thibodeau also requested that officer, posing as the minor, send nude images of herself.
In exchange, Thibodeau sent the officer sexually explicit photos of himself.
On December 3rd, Thibodeau rode his bicycle approximately three hours from Punta Gorda to North Port to meet the teen for sex.
Thibodeau was arrested by law enforcement upon his arrival and charged with enticement of a minor and transfer of obscene material to a minor.
He faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 10 years in federal prison.
