Man arrested after smashing kiosks and cars at Southwest Florida Taco Bell

Fort Myers, FL - A homeless man was arrested after he smashed kiosks and cars with plywood and pavers at a South Florida Taco Bell.

Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested 41-year-old Jonathan Caballero around 3:00 p.m. Sunday after Caballero caused damage to the Taco Bell on Palm Beach Blvd in Fort Myers.

Authorities say management at the Taco Bell told deputies that a man went into the store and started smashing the order kiosk screens with wooden plywood.

Caballero left the Taco Bell after employees threatened to call 911.

Police say an employee noticed that his vehicle parked in the Taco Bell's parking lot had a broken window.

Investigators say it appeared Caballero threw the paver at the car's window and broke it, causing approximately $500 in damage.

Another worker noticed a cracked tail light on their vehicle, which police estimated would cost $100 to repair.

Both employees agreed to press charges against Caballero.

Caballero was arrested by deputies at a nearby Hardee's.
