Collier County, FL - A Southwest Florida man's been arrested after a months long investigation revealed he sent lewd pictures to an underage girl and threatened to rape her.
Collier County Sheriff's deputies arrested 28-year-old Hunter James Kufta after Kufta befriended the victim while she was on vacation with her family in Naples last January.
Authorities say the victim sent a Snap of her location in a local hotel, which alerted Kufta, who was in her Snapchat group.
Kufta then sent the victim a picture of his genitalia with a message saying he was going to rape her.
Collier County Detectives say Kufta knew the victim was a minor when he sent the message.
A search warrant was obtained for Snapchat, which led to the discovery of the messages.
Kufta was taken into custody by University of North Florida police, where he is a student.
The 28-year-old is currently awaiting extradition back to Collier County on a charge of transmission of material harmful to a minor.
