Woman Clings to Speeding Car After Couple Steals $10,000 Puppy

A Texas woman is being accused of stealing a $10,000 dog and then driving for more than a mile while a store employee, who tried to stop her, clung to the hood of the car.

Terrifying footage shows store worker Alize James on the front of the sedan as it sped through an area near Houston, Texas on November 4.

"I was hanging on for dear life," James said.

James was working with a couple on financing options for buying an exotic bully puppy. As she stepped away to grab paperwork, the couple grabbed the puppy and quickly left the store.

According to reports, James tried to stop them but the car accelerated and she was thrown onto the hood.

Amazingly, James was able to remain on the hood until the vehicle stopped. A male passenger got out, punched her, and threw her off the car.

"I could barely hold on," she said. "I was so scared."

Police are still trying to identify the couple involved.
