A 62-year-old Las Vegas judge was injured after she was attacked by a defendant in the courtroom during sentencing. Video shows 30-year-old Deobra Redden leap over the bench to attack Judge Mary Kay Holthus, until three men are able to pull him away. Redden had been denied probation after pleading guilty to charges of attempted battery. Judge Holthus and a court marshal were both hurt during the attack. Redden has a criminal record that includes prison stints for attempted theft and domestic battery. Should there have been better security in place to keep the defendant from reaching the judge?
