Participants in a “Drunk Walking Contest” hit the runway in Western Japan over the weekend. Entrants re-enacted the staggering associated with drinking alcohol during the event and video footage has been posted on YouTube. Individual and group participants were granted one minute to portray drunkenness. There were no restrictions on age, gender or whether alcohol was consumed. The winner of the competition received 30,000 yen in prize money.
