NOAA Hurricane Hunters flew through Ian around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Nick Underwood, who has been flying with the hurricane hunters for six years, called it "the worst (flight) I’ve ever been on."
He tweeted videos and pictures of the "bumpy" ride, and said this. "When I say this was the roughest flight of my career so far, I mean it," said Underwood. "I have never seen the bunks (in the galley) come out like that. There was coffee everywhere. I have never felt such lateral motion."
