Alvis Lorraine Parrish, 54, of Jacksonville, faces a charge of poisoning food or water with intent to kill or injure a person, according to Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office online booking records.
The woman was yelling, “Yeah, I did it ... because he wouldn’t shut the up,” the sheriff’s arrest report stated. Parrish also said, “I gave him just enough to shut him up and called y’all so he wouldn’t die.”
As deputies were putting Parrish in handcuffs, she reportedly said, “Do whatever you want. If you don’t take me, I will kill him,” according to the arrest report.
Deputies said Parrish put Seroquel, an antipsychotic drug in the drink of William Carter, 61, of Jacksonville, with whom she had been living for nine years.
