Louis Vuitton’s New $2,890 Speaker Looks Like Something Out Of A Movie

Between the glass, stainless steel, leather construction, 35 LEDs, and the brand’s well-known logos plastered on nearly every surface of the speaker, Louis Vuitton's latest tech product looks like something straight out of a Sci-Fi movie.

According to reps at Louis Vuitton, the idea behind their Horizon speaker is that it will not only serve as a functional speaker but could also be "an artistic centerpiece of your living room or outfit, a unique blend of fashion and technology that aims to challenge what a portable speaker should look like". Something I think they've accomplished.

Louis Vuitton says that the Horizon speaker is inspired by its similarly shaped 'Toupie' handbag, which comes in a similar extraterrestrial-looking design.

All space jokes aside, Louis Vuitton appears to have built a pretty decent speaker, technically speaking. Features of the Horizon include a three-inch subwoofer, two 0.75-inch tweeters, three microphones for voice calls, up to 15 hours of playback off a single charge, and an included charging/display dock, with both Bluetooth 5.1 and AirPlay 2 for wireless audio. The speaker charges via USB-C. All of this for only $2,890.

The Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up speaker is available for your ordering pleasure now from their website, but they state that it won’t ship out until July 31st.
