WATCH: 5 Teenagers Arrested After Wild Car Chase on I-95 in South Florida

A wild car chase involving police ended up in a violent, multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Broward County on Wednesday morning.

Fort Lauderdale police said the incident began when officers received a call regarding a burglary when the caller said the burglars tried to steal their car from their home garage. Although the assailants were unsuccessful, police were able to locate the vehicle in connection with the incident. However, when the officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to stop and so the chase ensued. Police also noted that the vehicle involved in the chase had been stolen earlier in the day in Miami-Dade County. Officers called the Broward Sheriff's Office helicopter to aid in the pursuit.

As you can see in the aerial video footage, the vehicle apparently containing five teenagers, continued driving erratically and even struck a bicyclist. The juveniles did not stop to help the cyclist and continued to flee the area.

The chase finally came to end in a crash at I-95 and Pembroke Road when the assailants' SUV hit multiple vehicles and lost control, hitting a guardrail. The SUV can be seen upside down and was immediately swarmed by law enforcement. Police then pulled five juveniles from the vehicle.

Others involved in the collision, including the cyclist, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. All five teenagers were transported to Joe DiMaggio Hospital also with non-life-threatening injuries.
